Spotlight On...Jack Feldstein

Name: Jack Feldstein

Hometown: Sydney, Australia

Education: Australian Film School and National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) Playwrights' Course.

Favorite Credits: Writer book/lyrics of Falling In Love With Mr Dellamort the world's first theremin musical.

Why theater?: Because theater is magic and always like a performance of tight rope walkers with no net!

Tell us about Love and Sex Between Prime Numbers: Love and Sex Between Prime Numbers is about an actuary who's got leukemia and comes to NYC and is taught how to live.

What inspired you to write Love and Sex Between Prime Numbers?: I came to New York City because the best in the world are here and that inspires me and it's a place I can learn.  And that led to me writing Love and Sex Between Prime Numbers.

What kind of theater speaks to you? What or who inspires you as an artist?: But really, all great theater inspires me. I write to express what's inside me and hope that it connects with what's inside others. (I'm not talking my organs and gastro-intestinal stuff)

If you could work with anyone you’ve yet to work with, who would it be?:
Stephen Sondheim. And Mel Brooks.

What show have you receommended to your friends?: I have recommended anything by the Elevator Repair Service (eg The Select) to others.

Who would play you in a movie about yourself and what would it be called?:
Playing me would be Jesse Eisenberg.  The film would be called "Send in the Clowns"

What’s your biggest guilty pleasure?: Sweet potatoes.

What’s the most played song on your iTunes?:
"Formidable" by Stromae

If you weren’t working in theater you would be _____?: An actuary.
