The Gospel According to...Elijah Trichon

Name: Elijah Trichon

Hometown: San Francisco

Education: UCLA School of Theater Film and Television

Who do you play in The Mysteries?: Abel, Malkior, Simon the Zealot, Roman Soldier, A prophet in hell

Tell us about The Mysteries: 50 playwrights have adapted the York Mystery Plays to be 10 minutes or less and to take place either now or in the near future.  This is not a performance of the King James' version of the bible.  This is the bible like you've never imagined before.

Describe The Mysteries in three words: Radical. Bible. Adaptation.

What's the wildest costume you wear in The Mysteries?: The roman soldier costume.  Lots of leather and dirt

If you could be anyone from The Bible, who would you be?: David

Which company member is most likely to actually have lived during Biblical times?: Matt "The Beard" Cox

Which company member is most likely to be the Messiah?:
Matt Bovee

Most likely to become an angel?: Eliza Simpson or Janice Amaya

Most likely to hear voices in their head?:
Alex Gould

Who's the most spiritual?: I think we've all become a bit more spiritual during this process.

On the 8th day god said_____: I'VE BEEN SO BUSY ALL WEEK AND HAVEN'T WATCHED GAME OF THRONES YET NO ONE SAY ANYTHING.

Are you going to heaven or hell?: Depends on who decides.

Which of the Seven Deadly Sins are you?: Lust.  Or pride?  Maybe gluttony...

What's the biggest inside joke at The Mysteries?: Ed's notes.  My favorite ones are "FILL THAT DEATH MOMENT.  give me WHAT IS HAPPENING acting and then MY LEGS ARE FAILING ME acting and then WOW I JUST TOOK A SHIT WITHOUT TRYING TO acting and then collapse in a heap of grace and tragedy."

What's your favorite moment from The Mysteries?: There is a song at the end of the Pentacost episode and it makes me feel happy to be alive every time.

What is the most rewarding part about being a member of The Mysteries?: It has to be three things.  First, I am in the love with everyone involved.  Everyone is so talented/sweet/intelligent/talented/amazing it makes it a real joy to be in the show.  Second, being able to play so many vastly different roles in one night is such a gift.  I'm stretching my acting abilities to its limits and that is always a very good thing.  Third, the discount we get at South's.

Why should we come see The Mysteries?: It's epic.  It's beautiful.  It's hilarious.  It's SUPER sexy.  It's incredibly tragic.  It's fun.  It's unlike anything else out there.  Over 100 artists have come together to make something and that in and of itself is an amazing.  Plus I like to think we're pretty cool and if you come that means we all get to hang out and be friends!
