Why theater?: Because I love acting.  Because as pimpled faced teenager, it was the only way I could get any attention.  I acted in plays in high school, The Hampton Little Theatre. I won on Best Actress in the Virginia One Act Play Contest held at the University of Virginia.  I apprenticed at The Barter Theatre for one summer and was cast in  JULIUS CAESAR and SABRINA FAIR for the fall tour. Mr. Porterfield asked the cast while we were out on the tour to write a play that he could present at the South Eastern Theatre Conference which was to be held at The Barter.  We wrote it. It was called 9X6  — 9 Scenes by 6 actors. It was a big hit at the conference and Mr. Porterfield decided to bring it to New York City as an Off Broadway Show. I was an Actors Equity-working actress with great cast: Del Close, Marci Hubert, Jerry Hardin, Mitch Ryan, Richard Mc Kenzie and me.

Any roles you're dying to play?: I would like to play Mrs. Wire in VIEUX CARRE  and  Amanda in GLASS MENAGERIE.

What's your favorite showtune?: "You’re Nearer".

Who would play you in a movie and what would it be called?: "JUST ANNETTE" starring Ann Margaret.

What show have you recommended to your friends?: TWELFTH NIGHT

What is your most played song on iTunes?: Nothing at the moment!

What's your biggest guilty pleasure?: I don’t have guilt about pleasure.

What’s up next?: LIFE WITHOUT PAROLE, a play about real-life women incarcerated for killing their abusive partners. It will receive its New York premiere at FringeNYC August 10th through 23rd. For more information, visit http://www.lifewithoutparoleplay.com
