Why theater?: My favorites roles as a ballerina are always the ones that are dramatic and tell stories. Acting has always been something I have loved, so I am thrilled to be a part of this.
Who do you play in To Dance?: Galina
Tell us about To Dance: To Dance is the story of Valery Panov, a famous dancer with the Kirov Ballet during Cold War Russia. As he is a Jew, he constantly has to fight the KGB just to do what he loves – dance. My character, Galina, is his love interest whose life ends up changing once she meets him.
What is it like being a part of To Dance?: It is an absolutely incredible experience. This cast is so spectacular as is our creative team. This is truly an amazing project to be a part of.
What kind of theater speaks to you? What or who inspires you as an artist?: I love ballet a theater that is dramatic and tells a story – a show that relies on music/dance and more than just words.
Any roles you’re dying to play?: Ballet- Manon in Kenneth McMillan’s Manon, Theater – Lise in An American in Paris
What’s your favorite showtune?: Anything from Phantom of the Opera
If you could work with anyone you’ve yet to work with, who would it be?: I would love to work with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber or Christopher Wheeldon (who I worked with at NYCB)
Who would play you in a movie about yourself and what would it be called?: Emmy Rossum or Anne Hathaway and “Quietly Excellent”

What’s your biggest guilty pleasure?: Being lazy on off-days
