Kennedy Center Follies Coming to Broadway

The starry production of Stephen Sondheim and James Goldman's Follies will be revived later this summer for a limited run at the Marquis Theater. The 7.3 million dollar production has yet to announce dates and cast, but it's sure to feature headliners Tony Winner Bernadette Peters, Tony Nominees Jan Maxwell and Danny Burstein, and the legendary Elaine Paige. Directed by Signature Theatre Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, this will be the second revival since its debut in 1971.

So? Are we excited? I'm on the fence mostly because I don't know the show. Will I see it? Probably. Hopefully I'll get some dish from Jan Maxwell when she arrives in Vermont for rehearsals for PTP/NYC's production of Victory by Howard Barker!
